Surface Preparation

Diamond grinding opens the concrete pores for adhesion. All cracks and spalling are filled with flexible filler compound.

Can epoxy be installed over my existing tiles?

In most cases yes — provided tiles are well bonded. We grind the surface to create a profile for adhesion. Hollow or cracked tiles may need to be removed first. We assess this during your free quote.

How long until I can walk on the floor?

Light foot traffic is safe after 24 hours. Allow 5–7 days before moving furniture back in, and 7 full days for complete cure. Exact timelines depend on temperature and the system chosen.

Is residential epoxy slippery when wet?

We include a non-slip aluminium oxide aggregate in the topcoat of all residential floors at no extra charge. The level of texture can be adjusted to your preference.

Will the epoxy crack if my slab moves slightly?

We fill and stabilise control joints and cracks before coating. Our flexible filler compounds accommodate minor slab movement. Our topcoat systems are designed to flex without fracturing.

Can epoxy be used in wet areas like bathrooms?

Yes — epoxy is fully waterproof. We recommend a dedicated wet-area system with slip-resistant additives for bathrooms, laundries and alfresco applications.

Do I need to vacate the home during installation?

Not necessarily. We work room by room so you can still occupy the rest of the home. We use low-VOC products where possible and ensure good ventilation during application.
