What is the difference between partial and full broadcast?

Partial broadcast (50–70% coverage) leaves some base coat visible between flakes — a speckled look. Full broadcast (100%) covers the entire surface with flakes — creating a thicker, more textured and more durable finish. We recommend full broadcast for garages and commercial areas.

Can I choose custom flake colours?

Yes. We stock a wide range of standard blends and can order custom mixes. Custom colour orders may have a slightly longer lead time — please discuss at the quote stage.

Is the flake system slippery when wet?

No — the flake texture provides natural grip. For pool surrounds and wet areas we increase the aggregate concentration in the topcoat for additional certified traction.

Can flake epoxy be installed outdoors?

Yes — with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. Standard polyurethane can yellow slightly in direct sunlight. We recommend polyaspartic for any area exposed to Queensland sunshine.

How do the vinyl flakes hold up over time?

Vinyl flakes are fully encapsulated between the base coat and clear topcoat — they cannot peel, fade or be swept away. The topcoat is the wear layer; the flakes are permanently locked inside the system.

Can I add a garage with a flake system to a quote for a residential floor?

Absolutely. Many of our customers bundle their garage and internal floors into one project. This often reduces the overall cost per m² and means one visit and one disruption period.
